Delivery FAQs

What is Millboard’s Enhanced Grain decking made from?

Enhanced Grain Decking Boards is a blend of recycled natural minerals bonded in a polymer resin. This creates a lightweight, high-performing composite decking. It’s also coated with a resilient Lastane layer, which includes UV stabilisers to maintain your decking colour and an anti-slip surface for safe use in any weather.

What are the dimensions of Enhanced Grain broads?

Enhanced Grain Decking Boards provide a lightweight solution for easy decking handling and installation. Individual boards weigh 11.8kg and measure 176mm (W) x 3600mm (L) x 32mm(D), and on average, 1.54 boards will cover a square metre.

Are Enhanced Grain boards exactly the same?

Like natural wood, there will always be slight variations in individual decking boards’ dimensions and grain detailing. This is because Millboard’s Enhanced Grain range is crafted from natural oak. The pressure of the moulding process can result in some differences. However, Millboard works hard to ensure they meet minimal variations to deliver an authentic and visually impactful finish.

Will Enhanced Grain board expand or contract?

Where natural wood can warp, twist, expand and contract in reaction to weather conditions, composite decking provides a stable decking solution. Millboard’s Enhanced Grain boards have a resin mineral composition with a moisture and weather-resistant coating. Millboard do allow a 0.2% movement tolerance, which is why there is a 4mm gap between boards and a 1mm gap at the end when installing.
