If you’re replacing your lawn like for like, you’ll already know the shape of your lawn. For those looking to change the shape of their garden or starting a brand-new garden design, then it’s important to know which grass shape you want. This could be square, rectangular, circular or a unique figure altogether. But the shape you choose will determine how much turf you need to order.
Once you’ve settled on the shape of your lawn, you now need to calculate how big your dedicated space will be. There are different ways to measure different shaped lawns and our blog on how to measure your lawn provides a breakdown for each outline. Once you have your measurements, you can head straight to our turf calculator for step 4.
Our bespoke turf calculator is available to make ordering turf online a quick, easy and accurate task. Our calculator is available on any of the George Davies Turf website pages; simply click the button and it’ll take you directly to the calculator. You can then add in your shape and measurements from steps 2 and 3. This information will confirm the total area to cover and the number of rolls of turf required. We also recommend adding 5% of the amount recommended to allow for any wastage.
Once you’re happy with the amount of turf you require, add it to your basket. Before you head to the checkout, make sure you view our range of gardening products which you may need to complete your landscaping project. Perhaps some topsoil to scatter before rolling out your new turf, or some decorative bark to add those finishing touches. Once you have everything you need, click on the basket in the top right-hand corner and follow the payment instructions.
Once you’ve placed your turf order, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a unique order reference. One of the GDT team will soon be in contact with you to arrange a delivery day and time suitable for you. On the day of delivery, you’ll receive an update from your friendly delivery driver and your turf will be delivered within 2 hours, guaranteed.
