Millboard Decking FAQ’s

How long does Millboard Decking last?

Millboard decking has a 25-year guarantee.

Is it easy to install Millboard?

Millboard decking installation is straightforward and user-friendly. Made from a lightweight material, it can be easily cut to the desired size or shape using a standard saw blade. For optimal results, we recommend using a carbon-tipped, multi-purpose chop saw.

How often do I have to oil or sand it?

Never! Millboard’s non-porous and stain resistant Lastane® surface provides a lasting beauty and quality.

Can you paint Millboard Decking?

Absolutely! We only recommend the Millboard paint specified for the material.

Where can I use Millboard Decking?

Millboard Decking is highly versatile in landscaping design, allowing for multiple applications with a single material. This helps designers create a cohesive look without the need to switch materials. Incorporating built-in seating with the same material can create a sleek, minimalist aesthetic, giving the impression of more space – particularly beneficial for smaller urban gardens. Millboard is frequently used for built-in seating, planters, dining tables, and even pergolas.

Does it stain or mark?

Millboard’s non-porous and stain resistant Lastane® surface is designed to be resistant to food and drink strains as well as everyday wear and tear.

How easy is it to clean?

Very easy, a simple hose/water pressure will do the job. Millboard decking is highly durable and resistant to various elements such as light, moisture, stains, mould, algae, and impacts. It is also stain resistant. Accidents happen and we have heard plenty of horror stories about wine, food and animal faeces permanently staining wooden decking. With Millboard, there is no need to panic. Quickly remove the stain with soap and a cloth or brush to avoid future issues.

Is it safe and slip-resistant?

Yes, Millboard has a high slip resistance even when wet. It has been independently tested to meet British and European standards and leads the industry in anti-slip ratings.
