Clover Turf is a sustainable grass that combines a lush green appearance with ecological benefits. Perfect for homeowners, landscapers, and garden designers seeking a beautiful, low-maintenance lawn.

Along with a rich green shade and perhaps some lucky four-leafed clovers, George Davies Clover Turf offers several benefits to your garden, the environment, and local wildlife.
Clover Turf is a mixture of small-leaf white clovers and grass seed. The sweet-smelling clovers also attract pollinating insects, increasing and encouraging wildlife and biodiversity. It is self-maintaining, making it an exceptional choice for those seeking a minimal-upkeep lawn. Clover turf sustains its freshness without the need for regular mowing or strimming.
Thanks to its deep-rooted nature, this turf maintains its vibrant colour even during dry spells, too, conserving water and requiring less irrigation. Even if you have a north-facing garden with plenty of shade, our Clover Turf is drought resilient, meaning it can survive and thrive in shaded areas.
If you're looking for self-sustaining, eco-friendly turf, consider our Clover Turf today and enjoy a soft and comfortable lawn!
Clover Turf is the top turf when designing an eco-forward garden that promotes biodiversity.
The sweet nectar from the flowers in clover grass attracts bees and other pollinating insects, helping to improve the garden's ecosystem and support local wildlife. It’s also naturally self-fertilising, reducing the use of chemicals that may damage ecosystems and water sources.
Most notably, clovers naturally draw nitrogen from the air and convert it into food for the turf, soil, and surrounding plants.
For homeowners, landscapers and garden designers seeking a low-maintenance lawn, Clover Turf is a great option. Along with a rich green shade and perhaps some lucky-four-leafed clovers, Clover Turf offers several benefits to your garden, the environment, and local wildlife, including:

The great news is that this turf maintains itself with minimal mowing. During the spring and summer seasons, it typically requires cutting every 3 to 4 weeks. The ideal mowing height is about 3 inches, which promotes healthy growth and deters weeds by shading the soil.
Ensure your mower blades are sharp and set to a higher cut to avoid stressing the clover. Leave clippings on the lawn as a natural fertiliser.
In cooler months, reduce your mowing frequency and allow the clover to grow slightly longer to protect the roots in winter. This will keep your turf looking full and healthy year after year.
Use our turf calculator to work out exactly how much Clover Turf you’ll need for your space. Simply input your units, garden shape, and garden dimensions, and we’ll provide you with a recommended number of rolls. Unsure how to measure your lawn? Read our blog, ‘How Do I Measure My Lawn’, for all the answers.
Orders for delivery need to be a minimum of 25 m² and 20 m² for collection.
Clover Turf is naturally hardy with a high tolerance to drought and heat. This means it doesn’t need much watering and reduces any stress during heatwaves or hosepipe bans. Furthermore, it’s pretty robust, helping prevent weed invasions, and has a natural resilience to common lawn pests and diseases. Finally, it requires very minimal mowing. So, it basically takes care of itself!
You should lay your Clover Turf on the same day it’s delivered, or within 24 hours at the latest.
If you can’t lay the turf as soon as it’s delivered, store it in a shaded, cool spot and unroll a few strips to release heat. To prevent it from drying out, you could also water it lightly.
Although we don’t offer turf laying services, we have lots of guidance on our website about laying turf yourself!
Find out how to lay turf with our comprehensive, user-friendly video by George Davies himself, or even how to measure your garden before placing your order! You can also head to our blog post to learn more about best practices for turf laying!
We suggest waiting up to 3 weeks before walking on your new clover lawn.
We know that walking on it to reach certain areas or even watering it can’t be avoided sometimes. This is why we recommend walking on it as little as possible, avoiding the same path, and wearing smooth-soled shoes.
For more information, read our blog on walking on your turf or head over to our YouTube channel!

HOW TO INSTALL CLOVER TURF
Tools required:
Following these 4 steps to ensure a smooth and accurate installation of your Clover Turf:
Ensure the ground is fully prepared before laying turf: remove existing turf, weeds, and debris; add a layer of high-quality topsoil; ensure adequate drainage; and level the area.
Start in the top corner of the area and unroll the turf. Ensure you stagger the rolls like a brick wall, butting the edges together so they knit together tightly. Use a knife to carefully cut away any excess around objects, trees, or on curves.
Use wooden boards on top of the freshly rolled turf to walk across. This will gently increase contact between turf and soil, and protect fresh turf from foot indentations.
Water thoroughly and stay off the turf for at least 3 weeks to allow the roots to anchor in.
